‘Next stop, please!’ Photo Booth

This illustration was exhibited at the Vancouver Hong Kong Fair 2025 in the Cultural Create & Connect area. The project was created for Hong Kongers who have immigrated to Vancouver and their next generations, as well as local visitors interested in Hong Kong culture.

Inspired by Hong Kong’s iconic red minibuses, a familiar symbol of everyday life and shared memory, the project explores cultural connection through a recognizable visual form.

The key challenge was translating this concept into an interactive photo booth within the fixed size of the display boards. The design needed to be visually engaging and practical for installation, while remaining accessible for visitors of all ages.

The final installation features a die-cut minibus backdrop and classic route signage, inviting visitors to step in and take photos as a playful way to engage with cultural memory.
